Walk-In Studio Experience (W.I.S.E) and Professional Clothing Studio (PCS)

The Professional Clothing Studio, established by the Career and Life Design Center, gives UCM students the opportunity to select professional and business-casual clothing appropriate for job fairs, interviews, networking, and class presentations.  This service is FREE to all current UCM undergraduate and graduate students!

Items are graciously donated 100% by faculty, staff, student organizations, families, community members, alumni and employer partners. Feel free to look through our many options at a pace that suits you in a zero-pressure, judgment-free zone.  Depending upon inventory, students may select up to four items per month, on a first come, first serve basis. 

Visiting the Professional Clothing Studio

To access the Professional Clothing Studio, students can visit our Walk-In Studio Experience (W.I.S.E.) Monday – Thursday 12:00 p.m. – 3:30 p.m., Friday 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. in Ward Edwards (WDE) 1200, and a W.I.S.E. coach will be available to assist you.  If you have any questions, you may contact the Career and Life Design Center at careers@ucmo.edu or (660) 543-4985. 

Donating to the Professional Clothing Studio

Donations are welcome to support UCM students during their professional journey.  We gladly accept timeless pieces of all sizes, preferably purchased within the last five years and appropriate for professional purposes such as interviewing. If you would like to donate to UCM’s Professional Clothing Studio, please complete the Donation Request Form.

IMPORTANT NOTICE:

We will submit your in-kind donation to our 501(c)(3) partner, the University of Central Missouri Foundation. You can expect to receive an official charitable gift receipt by mail in the near future. Please note that the gift receipt will acknowledge receipt of your donation but will not include a dollar value. For tax purposes, it is the donor’s responsibility to determine and substantiate the fair market value of an in-kind gift and to claim any applicable charitable deduction in accordance with IRS guidelines. If you do not plan to claim a charitable deduction for this donation, you may simply discard the gift receipt.
